Draymond thanks ‘OG Spartan Dawg' Magic Johnson for ASG nod

After losing ugly to the Detroit Pistons on the road 113-95, the Warriors quieted their doubters in a loud way Monday night.

The Warriors returned to Cleveland to face the Cavaliers for the first time since Game 6 of the NBA Finals. They left with a dominant 132-98 victory

One person who took notice on Twitter was Hall of Fame point guard Magic Johnson. Magic poured praise to the reigning champs, stating they "sent the whole league a message" and also tweeted, "The Golden State Warriors are the best team and the most exciting team in the league."

Johnson singled out one player after the blowout win in Cleveland: Draymond Green.

The fellow Michigan State alum has received Johnson's support to start his first NBA All-Star Game.

Green's ability to be a triple-double threat every night has certainly been seen by Johnson. On Monday night, he just missed another one, finishing three rebounds short with 16 points, 10 assists and seven boards.

After the game, Green showed his respects and responded to Johnson's All-Star Game campaign.

If he doesn't get the starting nod, Green better at least make the team for the first time, in Johnson's eyes.

For the season, Green is averaging 14.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7.4 assists per game. He currently leads Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard for the third frontcourt All-Star Game starting spot in the Western Conference.
