Draymond shouts out to USA teammates who played in Finals

Draymond Green made a point of showing appreciation for his three Team USA teammates who made their way to Tokyo for the Olympics, just a few days after wrapping up a grueling six-game NBA Finals.

"I have a lot of respect for those guys for not only committing to do this but actually keeping their word," Team USA forward Draymond Green said (h/t ESPN's Brian Windhorst). "You're talking about three true professionals, three extremely competitive guys that wouldn't be on their way here if this didn't mean something."

Devin Booker, Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday all arrived via private jet in Tokyo less than 24 hours before Team USA's first game against France, Windhorst reported.

Middleton and Holiday's Milwaukee Bucks eliminated the Phoenix Suns and Booker on Tuesday night to win the championship.

"We could've very easily got to the last game ... and Devin Booker saying, 'Man, we lost, I'm pissed off, I'm out,' or Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday saying, 'We just won a championship, I want to celebrate and stay home with my family, I'm out,'" Green said. "It's on us to make sure that we do our parts to make sure they're rewarded with what they ultimately came here for, which is to help us to compete and win a gold medal."

Green is familiar with making a deep playoff run and then turning around to compete in the Olympics, as he and Klay Thompson both represented Team USA in the 2016 Olympics in Rio De Janeiro, just over a month after the thrilling seven-game NBA Finals series against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Due to the NBA's delayed start to the season with COVID-19, the turnaround for this year's trio was significantly shorter, as the Finals ended less than a week before Team USA's first game.
