Dray gets early fragrant foul in rematch vs. Hornets

Old habits die hard.

Draymond Green was assessed a flagrant foul early in the Warriors' rematch vs. the Charlotte Hornets on Friday at Chase Center. As Hornets P.J. Washington cut to the basket, Green emphatically made sure he wasn't going to give up an and-1 play, but struck Washington on the head while doing so.

The play of course comes just six days after Green's infamous double technical and ejection when facing the Hornets last Saturday in Charlotte. Green's actions inevitably led to Terry Rozier's buzzer-beating jumper that would hand the Warriors a shocking 102-100 loss.

Green took full responsibility for his actions following the loss, and dubbed Friday's contest a "revenge game."

Fragrant fouls are obviously not uncommon in the league, or to Green's playing style, but given Green's recent history against Charlotte, he will need to proceed with caution for the remainder of the game.
