OAKLAND -- Stephen Curry still believes Rockets guard James Harden deserves to win the MVP award, even if Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, another MVP contender, was utterly dismissive of Curry’s opinion.
When informed earlier this week that Curry considered Harden the MVP, Westbrook punctuated his response by asking of Curry: “Who is he?”
Asked about Westbrook’s comment, Curry on Saturday morning provided another example of his instinct for discretion.

SIGN UP HERE “No, I don’t have a response to him,” Curry said. “But if you ask anybody in the league, they’ll probably have an opinion on who they think (should win), whether you agree with it or not. It’s not, obviously, my decision.”
Harden and Westbrook are the leading contenders for the award Curry has won in each of the past two seasons.
It should be noted, too, that ever since Kevin Durant left the Thunder to join the Warriors, Westbrook’s notorious competitiveness goes to another level regarding anything related to the Warriors.
No matter, according to Curry.

“I try to stay away from those Twitter/Social Media interview wars,” he said. “It doesn’t do anything for me. So I will be myself, say what I think and keep it moving.”
