No, Stephen Curry isn't calling Cam Newton right now. The Carolina quarterback has plenty on his plate, and Curry understands all the pressures having just gone through the madness and exhilaration of winning an NBA championship last year and being named MVP.
"I haven't talked to Cam. I don't want to blow his phone up," Curry said. "From experience, when good things happen, you don't want to get in the way."
But you can bet the Golden State superstar will be in the seats - or suites - at Levi's Stadium on Super Bowl Sunday when his hometown Panthers take on the Denver Broncos in the 50th Super Bowl.

"100 percent," Curry declared.
The Warriors' schedule happens to work out perfectly. They will be between home games against Oklahoma City a night earlier and Houston the Tuesday after.

Curry just received some new Panthers gear, but he has been sticking with his No. 30 jersey hand delivered by coach Ron Rivera to the Warriors locker room at Oracle Arena on March 14 last year for Curry's 27th birthday.

He went through his post-practice shooting routine Sunday by knocking down jumpers in his jersey, even changing his shoes to Panthers colors first.

"At a safe. Not gonna tell you where that safe is," Curry said. "I'll wait two weekends from now. That one is my go-to. I've had it a year and a half since Ron Rivera personally delivered it to me."
A day after Carolina's rout of Arizona in the NFC championship game, Curry and Co. pounded San Antonio 120-90 on Monday night in what had been hyped as one of the biggest regular-season games in recent memory.
"I had a good day yesterday watching them play," Curry said postgame. "It's so much more comfortable being on the court playing myself as opposed to watching. I had a good 48 hours. Hopefully that continues."
