Curry, Iguodala to sit out Warriors game vs Hawks

OAKLAND – Stephen Curry and Andre Igoudala, both listed as questionable on the Warriors injury list Tuesday morning, were ruled out 50 minutes before tipoff against the Atlanta Hawks.

Coach Steve Kerr during his pregame news conference indicated backup point guard Shaun Livingston would step into the starting lineup if Curry were scratched.

Curry turned his left ankle last Saturday at Oklahoma City. He left the game for about six minutes, returned and played well enough to lead the Warriors to victory. Though the ankle has improved, it disallowed Curry from going through his usual pregame warmup routine.

Curry is sitting for the third time this season. The Warriors are 1-1 in the two games he previously missed.

Iguodala is coping with tightness in his left hamstring. The veteran wing, always the first man off the bench, will sit for the second time this season.

“We’ve got guys who can fill in,” Kerr said. “Brandon (Rush) and Ian Clark and (Leandro Barbosa) have all played very well for us this year.

“The coaches and I talked about different combinations today. We’ll find the ones that work, hopefully.”
