It appears David Lee's time with the Celtics is nearing its end.
Boston is in Utah to play the Jazz on Friday night, but Lee is not with the team and a buyout is being negotiated, according to CSN New England's A. Sherrod Blakely.
Over the past couple of weeks, the Celtics reportedly were struggling to find a trade partner for Lee.
The two-time All-Star has not appeared in a game since Jan. 10.

“That’s more about, he’s been in the league a long time and that’s more out of just … I’m not going to put him in there for five minutes or four minutes at the end of a game,” Stevens said a few weeks ago. “He’s a really good player. The reason he hasn’t played is a style of play choice.”
He's averaging 7.1 points and 4.3 rebounds over 15.7 minutes per contest this season.
Lee, whom the Warriors traded last July, is ineligible to return to Golden State this season.
