Bay Area unite: Poole expresses fandom for 49ers' Deebo

49ers' receiver Deebo Samuel has been seen a few times at Chase Center, showing Bay Area love to the Warriors during the 2022-23 NBA season.

But Samuel is also forming friendships with some players on the Warriors, one of them being Jordan Poole.

After Poole was seen high-fiving the 49ers star during Golden State's 123-109 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Christmas Day, the 23-year-old was asked if the two knew each other following his 41-point performance in the Warriors' 118-112 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night.

"First of all, shout out to Deebo, man," Poole told reporters postgame. "He's a tremendous, tremendous, tremendous athlete. We're just chopping it up, kind of Bay Area love.

"But I'm a fan and anybody who is out there, who works as hard as he does and as positive as he is, you just try to support guys like that. And especially just seeing him come and for him to be courtside and him interacting how he does and I hit his hand in the game, telling him to turn me up."

Poole noted that the Bay Area teams should be unified, which is why he's keen on developing a friendship with Samuel.

"So it is good to kind of bring the whole Bay Area together, not only for the Warriors but for all of our teams, especially the last four years I've been here," Poole said. "Just try to support as best I can because we need stuff like that.

With the 49ers punching their ticket to the NFL playoffs, they will be hosting at least one game at Levi's Stadium. It wouldn't come as a surprise if Poole or any of the Warriors show up to support the team.
