Barnes working on Davis for ‘We Believe' game

Former Warrior and current Laker Matt Barnes, who is bothpromoting and playing in the We Believe charity game this weekend, said hestill hopes to convince Baron Davis to make an appearance.Crimson Marketing and Public Relations, which has Barnes asa client, has organized the We Believe vs. Dubs game, which will take placeat the San Jose State University Events Center on Saturday at 6:30p.m.Members of the current Warriorsincluding Stephen Curry,Monta Ellis, David Lee and Dorell Wrightwill play former Warriors players,including Barnes, Jason Richardson, Gilbert Arenas and Al Harrington.

Proceeds from the game will go to Barnes Athletes vs.Cancer foundation.Im still working on Baron, Barnes said from Los Angeles.(Stephen) has been rapping in his off time so hes not going to make it. Butweve got a lot of great players coming and Im going to really work on Baronthis week.Barnes, Davis, Jackson, Richardson and Harrington formed thecore of the 2007 Warriors team, the only Golden State team to make thepostseason in the past 17 years.Barnes also confirmed that former Warrior Anthony Morrow isexpected to play in the game. The game was brought to my attention on Twitter, and Ithought it was an amazing idea, Barnes said. The guys on that 2007 team had alot of love for the Bay Area. I think its going to be a great event.

And maybe even competitive.I think its going to be serious, Barnes said. We shouldbe starting to play real games now anyway, so thats the mind set. I thinkthats how guys are going to take it. I know my team is going to play hard.
