Anonymous Laker has NSFW response to Warriors' flopping complaints

Warriors coach Steve Kerr publicly expressed his discontent with the Los Angeles Lakers' apparent flopping in Game 4 at Crypto.com Arena.

The Lakers heard those comments loud and clear.

“Let them [expletive] and complain," one Lakers player told TNT's Chris Haynes ahead of Game 5 at Chase Center. "It shows weakness and frustration. We can’t get caught up in that game. We just have to play and keep fighting."

Los Angeles nailed all 20 of their free-throw attempts while Golden State only had 12 total free-throw attempts. The Lakers have attempted more free throws than the Warriors in all four games of the Western Conference semifinals: 29-6 in Game 1, 17-16 in Game 2, 37-17 in Game 3 and 20-9 in Game 4.

"The Lakers -- they're a team that plays with a lot of gamesmanship," Kerr said Monday night after the Warriors fell behind 3-1 in the Western Conference semifinals with a 104-101 loss. "They understand how to generate some calls. I thought they took some flops and were rewarded."

Kerr doubled down on his comments the following day after practice in San Francisco.

"You give them credit," Kerr said Tuesday. "But you lament the fact that as a league, we’re going to reward that type of play with the game and the series and all that stuff’s at stake, you would hope that officials would recognize when a guy just takes a dive."
