Andre Iguodala delivered great joke to Kevin Durant when Warriors got to MSG

Unless you've been living under a rock, you are well aware that Kevin Durant will become an unrestricted free agent in July.

One team that reportedly has a legitimate chance of luring Durant away from the Warriors is the Knicks.

The Warriors arrived in New York on Thursday night and don't leave until Sunday night after their game vs the Nets, so right now there is a lot of media attention on Durant's future.

Following the win over the Knicks on Friday -- in which Durant racked up an incredible 25 points in the fourth quarter -- Anthony Slater of The Athletic wrote a feature story with the central theme being that the Warriors do not fear the Knicks in the Durant sweepstakes.

Here's an excerpt (enjoy the Andre Iguodala joke):

Durant’s free agency future is a serious threat to this dynasty. Everyone is curious to see what he’ll do. It’ll affect the life path of many of his teammates. They monitor the breadcrumbs as closely as anyone.

Around the Thunder, it was a taboo topic — always there but hardly touched. Around these Warriors, it freely pops up at any moment, occasionally weaponized into a joke, like when Durant got to the Garden on Friday night and Andre Iguodala had a message for him.  “Welcome home,” Iguodala joked.

“Gotta inject some humor because there’s so much seriousness involved,” Shaun Livingston said. “Inject some humor, take some edge off.”

Iguodala for the win!

Through six games this season, Durant is averaging 29.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game, while shooting nearly 56 percent from the field.

He's good at basketball.
