After Clark's big night vs Mavs, Kerr calls guard a ‘coach's dream'

On Tuesday night in Dallas, Ian Clark racked up 18 points off the bench.

Following the Warriors win, Steve Kerr was asked about the 26-year old guard.

"Ian's been huge," Kerr told reporters. "We've needed him without KD. We've needed his scoring ... we kind of realized that without KD, we needed that extra shooter on the floor. We've given him more minutes and he's really responded."

In the first three games following Durant's injury (including Washington), Clark averaged 2.7 points in just 4.9 minutes.

After registering 10 points in about 10 minutes at Atlanta, Clark played just six minutes against Boston.

But since then (seven games), Clark is averaging 12.9 points on 58 percent shooting in over 20 minutes per contest.

"I've said this all year but Ian is just a coach's dream because you don't have to play him but you know he stays ready," Kerr added. "You throw him out there and he produces.
