One of the most highly-anticipated comebacks in modern sports history is just days away.
Klay Thompson is expected to step on the court for the first time in 941 days when the Warriors host the Cleveland Cavaliers at Chase Center on Sunday.
And since it has been so long since fans have watched the sharpshooter in action, let this serve as a reminder of just how much of an impact the five-time All-Star has had on the NBA since entering the league in 2011.

5. Game 6 of the 2018 Western Conference Finals
The Warriors might have never been crowned champs if it wasn’t for Klay’s explosive performance in a do-or-die Game 6 against the Houston Rockets.
Down three games to two, Klay’s shot caught fire when it mattered most.

Shooting 9-of-14 from behind the arc, Klay finished with a game-high 35 points and forced a Game 7 to keep the Dubs’ NBA Finals aspirations alive.
Golden State ended up winning the series and then swept the Cavs in the Finals for their third ring in four years.
4. 60 points in 29 minutes
The milestone Klay reached in December 2016 is one of those things that isn’t believable unless you witnessed it with your own eyes.
On Dec. 5, 2016, Klay scored a jaw-dropping 60 points, including eight threes, on 11 dribbles in 29 minutes. Read that again.
He also shot 21-of-33 from the field in the Warriors’ 142-106 blowout win over the Indiana Pacers.
It was so iconic that every single year, social media shares videos to commemorate Klay’s big night.
3. 14 3-pointers sets NBA record
Things got real spooky at United Center in Chicago just a few days before Halloween.
Thompson made NBA history and still holds the record for most 3-pointers made in a game.
The Splash Bro made 14 triples and finished with an impressive 52 points in the Dubs’ 149-124 win over the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 29, 2018.
His fellow Splash Brother, Steph Curry, is right behind him with 13 threes in a game.
2. 37 points in a quarter vs. Kings
And the record-setting doesn’t end there.
Klay broke the NBA record for most points in a quarter when he scored an unbelievable 37 points in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 126-101 win over the Sacramento Kings on Jan. 23, 2015.
Klay surpassed Wilt Chamberlain’s 31 points in a quarter on March 2, 1962.

1. Game 6 2016 Western Conference Finals
And, of course, it was Klay’s 11 3-pointers in the 2016 Western Conference Finals that saved the Dubs from elimination.
He finished with a game-high 41 points and helped Golden State force a Game 7 against Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Warriors ended up winning the series, but lost to the Cavs in the NBA Finals.
Nonetheless, Klay’s impact throughout the season, especially in the playoffs, was significant.
