And by the way, amid all this NBA chaos, the Warriors willopen training camp today under first-year coach Mark Jackson. Golden State iscoming off a 36-46 season and at this point has pretty much the same core aslast season. That could change in the coming days with free agencyofficially starting, but for now the Warriors have to get moving. Here are five questions heading into Day 1:What kind of coach will Jackson be?Hes never coached at any level, and so his bodyof work is a blank slatecoaching-wise, of course. Jackson has said hesgoing to hold players accountable on the defensive end, but other than thatwere really not sure what kind of style the Warriors are going to play andwhat kind of team theyre likely to be.Where is Andris Biedrins game at thispoint? One of the great Bay Area mysteries is Biedrinsgame and how its gone missing. The bottom line is Biedrins cant resemble theplayer hes been for the past two years. If he doesand he remains on theWarriors rosterit will be challenging for the team to besuccessful.Hows Monta Ellis state of mind?Ellis might not be a leader in the true sense ofthe word, but yet hes an influencer when it comes to the mood and spirit ofthe team. When Ellis is feeling good, chances are it rubs off on the team. WhenEllis isnt feeling good, he can take some players to that place withhim. Is it realistic to expect the rookies tocontribute? It remains to be seen how much Klay Thompson willcontribute and whether Jeremy Tyler and Charles Jenkins can even compete at theNBA levelat least at the start. As it stands, depth is a serious issue for the Warriors andthe sooner the rookies help out, the better. Will this be Stephen Currys breakoutyear?Make no mistake, Curry has been very solid hisfirst two years in the league. Now, the Warriors need him to become more of agame-changer. That means assists must go up, turnovers must go down, defensemust improve and its time to see if he can make teammates better.
