SACRAMENTO -- The Sacramento Kings return to Sleep Train Arena Wednesday after picking up a win in Los Angeles on Tuesday night against the Lakers. They draw the New Orleans Pelicans, a team that has struggled all season long with consistency, much like the Kings.
Despite the team’s disappointing season, veteran point guard Darren Collison continues to bring a consistent effort every night. The 28-year-old out of UCLA dropped in 22 points on 10-of-14 shooting to lead the Kings past the Lakers and snap the team’s five-game losing streak.

The last time these two teams met DeMarcus Cousins put up 40 points and 16 rebounds, but it was fellow All-Star Anthony Davis that came away with the win.
Davis dropped in 31 points in 10 rebounds, but he also had plenty of help. Norris Cole scored 23 points, Jrue Holiday chipped in 20 points and 10 assists and Sacramento native Ryan Anderson added 19 off the bench. The Kings will need a solid effort all around if they hope to avoid getting swept by the Pelicans.
