SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.Tim Lincecum wasnt the only big leaguepitcher to make a bunch of Angels minor leaguers eyes bug out Thursdayafternoon.

While Lincecum pitched in a Single-A game, closer BrianWilson was firing fastballs against Low-A hitters on an adjacent diamond atIndian School Park.

The Giants wanted Wilson and Lincecum to get their work donein a more controlled environment. That paid off when Wilson needed just 15pitches to record three outs. So the Giants asked the Angels to send anotherhitter to the plate to allow Wilson to throw a few more.

You can bend those rules in minor league camp. Or maybeWilson is just bored and wants to make the game harder by recording four outsan inning. Wouldnt put it past him.

One of those outs came when minor league catcher Eric Simpicked a runner off second base after a double. Sims name doesnt getmentioned in the litany of catching prospects in the system, but he had anoutstanding instructional league and hes well liked among the coaches and minor league officials.

Wilson finished with two strikeouts and a lineout to secondbase.

Giants manager Bruce Bochy said if Wilson comes out of thesession with no issues, he could appear in a Cactus League game on Saturday. The Giants continue to take it easy on their three-time All-Star closer, whopitched just twice after Aug. 15 because of right elbow inflammation.
