Why Giants' home ‘cream' uniforms are best jerseys in team's history

I’ve never met a Giants uniform I didn’t like, but is there one that stands out about the rest?

Well, maybe.

We recently tweeted out four of the team’s uniform options and asked fans to select which one they liked the most.

They’re all great -- that’s not a lie, but the cream-colored home uniforms are so special.

Perhaps it’s a mixture of being able to play at Oracle Park -- one of the most beautiful stadiums in the world -- and knowing that despite being as crisp as they are, they’re about to get dirtied up by the red dirt on the infield.

And to be honest, Buster Posey looks extra Buster Posey-ish in the cream-white unis. Does that make sense?

The fans' responses were mixed throughout the board,  which is a great problem to have. All four of the options are clean.

The button-downs were also adopted in 1983, which shifted from the pullover look to the seasons prior. The block letters stayed relatively the same over the years, which had a slight “modern but traditional” font in the early 90s.

They’ve stayed similar for the most part ever since.
