MLB commissioner Rob Manfred said last Wednesday that he was 100 percent confident a 2020 MLB season would happen.
Five days later, Manfred changed course by saying on ESPN that he's "not confident" there will be a season.

SIGN UP HERE Manfred's comments come after a weekend in which the league and the MLB Players' Association exchanged combative statements signaling the end of negotiations regarding how revenue would be distributed during the 2020 season.
On Saturday, the union told Manfred and owners they were ready to play, and to implement a season based on guidelines set forth in their March agreement. They told Manfred to respond by the end of business Monday.
Immediately after ESPN reported Manfred's comments, players took to Twitter to voice their displeasure:
MLBPA executive director Tony Clark also released a statement saying players are "disgusted" with Manfred's comments.
