Webb's great outing, four homers fuel win over Reds

Saturday's 9-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds at Oracle Park was just what the doctor had ordered for the struggling Giants.

Losers of three straight, San Francisco needed a win against the lowly Reds after Friday night's loss

After Reds center fielder Nick Senzel drove in the first run of the game in the top of the second, the Giants responded with two solo home runs from Evan Longoria and Thairo Estrada in the bottom half of the inning.

Darin Ruf's RBI single and Longoria's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the third extended the Giants' lead to 4-1.

Tommy La Stella's RBI double in the bottom of the fourth and Joc Pederson's solo homer in the bottom of the fifth gave the Giants a 6-1 lead.

Starting pitcher Logan Webb (6 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 6 K) was stellar against the Reds on Saturday and was rewarded with plenty of run support.

In the bottom of the sixth, Wilmer Flores joined the party, blasting a three-run homer and extending the Giants' lead to 9-1.
