LaMonte Wade Jr. went from fan-favorite to key piece for a 107-win team real quick for the Giants. But among the most beloved Giants fans this season were his parents.
In the biggest games of the year, however, they haven't been in attendance. The two, especially his mother Emily, do have a pretty good reason why. Emily currently is in a ping-pong tournament, just as her son plays in his own tournament, with just a few more eyes on him than her.
"She's doing pretty good," Wade said Monday to reporters before Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. "I get videos from my dad these last couple days. I don't think they're going to be out here.

"She's still playing, but -- shows where her priorities are."
Emily went viral earlier this year when her son launched a home run right over her head and into McCovey Cove for a Splah Hit.
When Wade was named the Willie Mac Award winner on Oct. 1, his father, LaMonte Wade Sr., captured every second of the ceremony on his cell phone.

"She's having fun with it," Wade said of her mom's ping-pong tournament. "They will definitely be watching."

Wade is batting sixth and starting in left field against Max Scherzer and the Dodgers as the Giants look to take a two-games-to-one series lead. He went 0-for-3 with one strikeout in Game 1 and then came off the bench in Game 2 to go 1-for-2 with a walk.
