The MLB offseason is underway, and the Giants will be very busy in the coming days, weeks and months.
With plenty of free agents of their own set to hit the open market, president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi and general manager Scott Harris have a lot of work to do if they hope to maintain a similar level of success next season.
One of the priorities for San Francisco this offseason is the starting rotation. Starting pitcher Kevin Gausman had a career year with the Giants in 2021 and is already receiving interest in the free-agent market.

The Blue Jays, who recently extended starter José Berríos, are looking to add to a rotation that already includes Hyun Jin Ryu and former top prospect Alek Manoah.
Gausman's excellent 2021 season (14-6, 192.0 IP, 227 Ks, 2.81 ERA), in which he finished sixth in NL Cy Young award voting, will allow him to be one of the most highly sought after free-agent starters.
