Posey reaches milestone in clutch performance vs. Padres

Buster Posey is no stranger to reaching career milestones.

The 2010 Rookie of the Year, 2012 NL MVP, seven-time All-Star and three-time World Series champion has one of the most decorated careers of any catcher in MLB history.

Sunday afternoon, the 12-year veteran reached another career milestone.

After opting out of the shortened 2020 MLB season, Posey's resurgence in 2021 has helped anchor the middle of the Giants' lineup. His .305 batting average has been reminiscent of what we saw from the catcher throughout the early years of his career.
