Posey makes Giants playoff history with homer in Game 1

Buster Posey's early home run against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 1 of the National League Division Series made some franchise history.

Posey's home run off Walker Buehler put the Giants ahead in the bottom of the first inning.

It was Posey's first home run in the postseason since Game 4 of the 2012 World Series, when the former NL MVP went deep off former Detroit Tiger and current Dodger pitcher Max Scherzer. The blast helped the Giants beat the Tigers and complete a sweep of the World Series for the franchise's second title in three years.

The home run also was the first that Buehler's surrendered on a 3-0 count.
