Ohtani joins Giants legend Mays in exclusive stat club

Shohei Ohtani and Willie Mays are two of the most fascinating players in baseball history.

The "Say Hey Kid," and the Los Angeles Angels two-way superstar now find themselves in an exclusive club together.

Collecting his sixth triple of the season in the bottom of the first inning against the Seattle Mariners, Ohtani accomplished something only Mays had previously done.

Ohtani is one in a million, as Mays was when he played.

Having already been compared to all-time great Babe Ruth with his two-way ability, Ohtani is very quickly drawing comparisons to some of the game's biggest names.

What's even more impressive is that Ohtani (9-2, 3.28 ERA, 146 Ks, 123.1 IP) has put together an MVP-caliber season at the plate while also putting together a fantastic season on the mound.

Willie Mays was not a pitcher, but if he was, it's hard not to image that he would have been good at that as well.
