MLB Twitter, Giants fans react to new All-Star uniforms

MLB All-Star Game uniforms weren't broken, but the league tried to fix them anyway, and the results for the 2021 event didn't sit well with fans.

Instead of National League and American League All-Stars wearing their normal home or road uniforms, MLB created unique threads with with each team's logo over the abbreviation of the city name.

For the Giants, that meant the traditional "SF" logo over a vertical "SFG" on the left side of the home white uniform.

Seeing three-time NL All-Star shortstop Brandon Crawford in the 2021 All-Star Game uniforms at Coors Field in Denver, Colo. garnered a mostly negative reaction from Giants fans.

Crawford was selected to his first All-Star Game since 2018, and likely will enter as a replacement at some point during the game.

Kevin Gausman and Buster Posey also earned All-Star nods, but neither will play in the game Tuesday. Gausman pitched Sunday, making him ineligible to pitch and Posey was placed on the 10-day IL over the weekend with a left thumb injury.
