For the second time in four years, the Giants have won The Bridge Tom Pellack Memorial Trophy, capturing the hardware by beating the Athletics in thrilling fashion on Sunday in the Bay Bridge Series finale at the Oakland Coliseum.
Donovan Solano came off the bench in the top of the eighth inning and connected for a pinch-hit, go-ahead two-run homer to lift the Giants to a stunning 2-1 win over the A's.
The Giants won four of the six 2021 regular-season games against the A's, including the last two in historic fashion.

SIGN UP HERE Originally called The Bridge, the trophy was renamed this year by NBC Sports in collaboration with the Giants and the A's to honor beloved longtime NBC Sports Bay Area employee, Tom Pellack, who died in 2020.
Pellack was the head of Marketing for NBC Sports Bay Area and California, and his legacy with the company spans all the way back to the days of Fox Sports Bay Area. He was with the company for more than 25 years.
Pellack was the mastermind behind all the funny commercials, billboards and videos seen across NBC Sports Bay Area and California platforms, including the Authentic Fan campaign.

The Giants now have won The Bridge Tom Pellack Memorial Trophy in 2019 and 2021, while the A's claimed it with Bay Bridge Series wins in 2018 and 2020.

The trophy was created in 2018 to commemorate the shared history between the two Bay Area franchises. The main components of the trophy were taken from the old Bay Bridge truss after it was torn down. It features interchangeable Giants and A's logos that can be moved to the top of the trophy to recognize the winner of the series.
Pellack's legacy in Bay Area sports will live on forever through the trophy he helped make a reality.
