Giants’ Tyler Rogers deserved to be All-Star, twin Taylor says

Tyler Rogers has been one of the real bright spots for the best team in baseball. The Giants reliever also might have been perhaps the biggest omission from the 2021 MLB All-Star Game.

And his twin brother Taylor isn't happy about it.

Taylor Rogers, a closer for the Minnesota Twins, was named to his first All-Star Game this season. Tyler joined him at the pre-game festivities where Taylor spoke adamantly about San Francisco's submariner for supporting him, and made it clear he believes his twin should have been in the game for the NL squad.

Taylor Rogers has been adamant that his twin, Tyler, deserved to be an NL All-Star with a 1.47 ERA in 42 games for the Giants.

Tyler actually has had a much better first half than Taylor. In 42 appearances for the Giants this season, Tyler is 1-0 with a 1.47 ERA and has 11 saves. His twin Taylor has come out of the bullpen 36 times for Minnesota and is 2-3 with a 3.35 ERA and has converted eight saves.

It wasn't an easy start to the season for Tyler. He blew the save in the Giants' season-opening loss to the Seattle Mariners, but has only blown three since. Along with his 11 saves, he also has 17 holds and has 35 scoreless outings.
