Some of MLB's greatest players ever still are not in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Of all the superstars on the outside looking in, however, nobody was greater than Barry Bonds.

Bishop, 22, grew up a huge Giants fan in the Bay Area and starred at Junipero Serra High School in San Mateo, the exact same high school that Bonds attended. The Giants selected Bishop with the No. 10 pick in the 2019 MLB Draft after his huge junior season at Arizona State, the same college that Bonds attended.
Bonds received 60.7 percent of votes on last year's ballots, which is well short of the 75 percent needed for Hall of Fame induction. He only has two years left of eligibility and will need plenty of help to make it to Cooperstown.

The former Giants superstar spent 15 of his 22 seasons in San Francisco. Bonds won five NL MVP awards with the Giants, and two more with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He has the most single-season home runs (73) and most career home runs (762). Bonds also won eight Gold Gloves, 12 Silver Sluggers and was an All-Star 14 times.

Bishop was just nine years old when Bonds played his last game as a Giant. There's no way he could have known then that he too would star at the same high school and college as Bonds, and also be drafted by the Giants. That's where we are now, and Bishop is staying loyal to the star he grew up rooting for.
