On Thursday, the Red Sox announced that Pablo Sandoval would open the 2016 season on the bench.
On Friday, Sandoval's agent, Rick Thurman, responded.

"If you want to win, why leave the ferrari in the garage?" Thurman said, according to Jon Heyman of MLB Network.
In November 2014, Sandoval signed a 5-year, $95 million deal with Boston, that includes a $17 million option in 2010 (with a $5 million buyout).
Travis Shaw will start at third base over Sandoval.
“It’s going to be difficult, but I have to be happy,” Sandoval said. “[Shaw] did a great job. He’s had a fantastic spring. It was going to be a tough battle. There’s nothing easy.
