Juan Uribe won a World Series with the Giants in 2010, and San Francisco reportedly is interested in a reunion.
The Giants have had discussions with the 36-year old about a utility role, but the salary ask has been too expensive, according to ESPN's Buster Olney.
Uribe signed with the Orange and Black in January 2009.

Uribe signed a three-year deal with the Dodgers in late November 2010, and inked another two-year deal with Los Angeles in December 2013.
The Dodgers traded him to the Braves last May. Atlanta then shipped him to the Mets in July.
Over 44 games for New York, he hit .219 with six home runs and 20 RBI.
Uribe was not active for the NLDS or NLCS, but delivered a pinch-hit RBI single in Game 3 of the World Series against the Royals.
