
Six years after Grant Green was drafted in the first round by the A's, the 28-year-old is coming back to the Bay Area.
The infielder/outfielder has reportedly signed a minor league deal with the Giants, according to Baseball America.
Green has the ability to play first base, second base, shortstop and left field.

The 13th overall pick in the 2009 MLB Draft out of USC, Green played parts of five seasons in the A's organization.

After hitting .325 with Triple-A Sacramento to begin the 2013 season, Green received his first call-up and made his major league debut on July 8. He played in five games for the A's before they traded him within the division to the Angels for infielder Alberto Callaspo.
In 104 games over parts of three seasons with the Angels, Green hit .263/.299/.353 with 13 doubles, three home runs and 30 RBI.
Green is the latest former top prospect to reportedly sign a minor league deal with the Giants.
On November 23, Baseball America reported that the Giants agreed to a deal with former Ray shortstop prospect Hak-Ju Lee. The publication is also reporting that the Giants have a deal with former Padres prospect Kyle Blanks. That deal was first reported by The San Francisco Chronicle on Nov. 16.
