With the Giants pretty much done filling out their major league roster, they are now addressing minor league depth.
On Friday, according to Baseball America, they signed former top prospect Mike Kickham to a minor league deal.
Kickham, who split time between the Seattle and Texas organizations in 2015, was originally a sixth-round pick by the Giants in 2010. The lefty ascended to the No. 5 prospect ranking in San Francisco's system in 2012 and made his major league debut on May 28, 2013.

The 27-year-old Kickham pitched in 14 games over the 2013 and 2014 seasons with the Giants, but never found success. He gave up a total of 37 earned runs in 30.1 innings pitched.

Following the 2014 season, the Giants waived Kickham and he was claimed by the Cubs. Less than a month later, Chicago traded him to Seattle. A month into the 2015 season, the Rangers claimed Kickham off waivers, but released him in June.
In addition to Kickham, the Giants also reportedly signed former A's third-round pick Vin Mazzaro to a minor league deal and re-signed outfielder Darren Ford.
Mazzaro spent 2015 in the Miami Marlins organization. He appeared in 10 games for the Marlins and posted a 3.75 ERA in 12 innings.
Ford, who hasn't played in the major leagues since 2011, is currently in his second tour of duty with the Giants organization. The 30-year-old spent the entire 2015 season with Triple-A Sacramento, posting a .261 average with 11 home runs and 33 RBI.
