After one season in Oakland, Ike Davis is moving on to a new AL West team.
The 28-year-old will sign a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers, according to MLB Network's Jon Heyman.
In his only season with the A's, Davis played in 74 games. He hit .229/.301/.350 with 17 doubles, three home runs and 20 RBI.

Davis' 2015 season came to an end in August when he underwent surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left hip.
Davis provided a little relief for the A's on April 21. With Oakland losing 14-1 to the Angels in Anaheim, manager Bob Melvin summoned the first baseman to pitch. Davis helped save the bullpen and managed to throw a 1-2-3 inning.

After making $3.8 million in 2015, the A's non-tendered Davis on Dec. 2, making him a free agent.
Originally a first-round pick by the Mets in 2008, Davis four-plus seasons in New York before being traded to Pittsburgh in 2014.
