Tim Lincecum was originally planning on holding a showcase in January. But there's been a change of plans.

The two-time Cy Young Award winner is tentatively eyeing a showcase in the first two weeks of February, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

Lincecum's agent, Rick Thurman, told John Shea that Lincecum is "throwing every day and says he’s doing great. He’s got no instability in his hip, and he’s enthusiastic about his progress.”

Lincecum's final outing in 2015 came on June 27. He underwent surgery on his left hip on Sept. 3.

According to the report, almost every team in Major League Baseball has inquired about Lincecum, and at least 20 have requested medical information on the 31-year old.

Giants roster moves provide rotation clarity at end of spring training

Giants outfielder Encarnacion fractures left hand in spring training

Brad Schoenthaler, Lincecum's physical therapist, told Shea "Tim’s doing great. He looks really strong. His hip pain and compensation patterns have cleared up. Everything’s coming back a lot quicker than we expected.

“I feel he’ll walk into spring training stronger or as strong as he normally walks into spring training. I think he’ll be plenty strong to be a starter.”

The Giants seem to be set with a projected starting rotation of Madison Bumgarner, Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardzija, Jake Peavy and Matt Cain.

There's also the possibility that Lincecum could return to the Giants in a bullpen role.

Is San Francisco interested?

“Timmy has been such a big part of our fabric and success,” Giants GM Bobby Evans told Shea. “It’s important we do our due diligence. Of course we’re going to keep in touch with Tim Lincecum.”

The first spring training workout for Giants pitchers and catchers is scheduled for Feb. 18.

The first full squad session will be on Feb. 23.
