The 30-year-old Thames played in parts of two seasons with the Blue Jays and Mariners before leaving to play in the Korean Baseball Organization.
In 181 MLB games in 2011 and 2012, Thames hit .250/.296/.431 with 36 doubles, 21 home runs and 62 RBI.
Since joining the NC Dinos of the KBO prior to the 2014 season, Thames has blossomed. In 388 games over the last three seasons, he has 101 doubles, 124 home runs and 379 RBI. He hit .343, .381 and .317 during those three seasons.
