NASHVILLE -- Major League Baseball's public relations directors have come together to find a unique way to Stand Up To Cancer. Using their unparalleled access to MLB players and their franchises, the PR officials came together to raise money for the Stand Up To Cancer charity. Right now you can bid to win a chance to be on the field with A's outfielder Josh Reddick while he is being presented his Rawlings Gold Glove. Or watch Yoenis Cespedes take batting practice on the field and meet with him after. Those are two of the possible experiences arranged by A's PR director Bob Rose.
The auction, which is now underway and will be online until Thursday, December 6 at 8:59 p.m., features more than 70 unique experiences and items donated by the 30 MLB Clubs and Major League Baseball. In addition to the chance to win an executive experience with Billy Beane and Bob Melvin, some of the auctions are as crazy as a home visit from the Milwaukee Brewers Famous Racing Sausages.
