SAN FRANCISCO -- The strange timing of this year's FanFest won't keep most of the Giants from attending. The entire lineup will be on hand next weekend at AT&T Park, with the exception of center fielder Denard Span.
While Madison Bumgarner, Johnny Cueto, Matt Cain and Will Smith will skip the event, the rest of the projected pitching staff is expected to attend.
New closer Mark Melancon will fly out to San Francisco, along with Matt Moore, who was acquired in the middle of the 2016 season. First-year coaches Jose Alguacil and Phil Nevin are among the newcomers.
