Pence doubles in third rehab game with River Cats

After a day off Friday, Hunter Pence resumed his rehab stint with the Triple-A Sacramento River Cats Saturday.

Batting third against the El Paso Chihuahuas, Pence grounded out in his first plate appearance.

Up again in the second inning, Pence doubled to left field with two outs. He scored on a two-run home run by catcher Andrew Susac.

Pence grounded into a force out in the third inning.

In his final at-bat of the night, Pence struck out leading off the sixth inning.

The 33-year-old is working his way back from surgery on his right hamstring. Saturday's game was Pence's third game with the River Cats. In his previous two games, he was a combined 3-for-4 with a double and a home run.

In 50 games with the Giants this season, Pence is hitting .298 with 11 doubles, seven home runs and 36 RBI. He has been out since June 1.
