Andrus comes through with A's MLB-leading sixth walk-off win

The Athletics' walk-off magic is back at the Oakland Coliseum.

After blowing a three-run lead Friday night against the Kansas City Royals, the A's walked off with a 4-3 win thanks to Elvis Andrus.

Matt Chapman roped a one-out double into the left field corner, Seth Brown was intentionally walked and Andrus came through with the big hit to send the fans at the Coliseum home happy.

Andrus singled to right and Chapman slid in just ahead of the tag to score the winning run.

It was the A's MLB-leading sixth walk-off win of the season and moves Oakland to 38-27 on the season.

The A's jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the fourth inning Friday when Chapman drove in Mitch Moreland with a double and Brown crushed a two-run homer that traveled 405 feet to right field.

But the Royals chipped away with two runs in the seventh inning and one more in the eighth.

Andrus has been struggling at the plate, slashing .213/.266/.274 with no home runs and nine RBI. He did have two hits Friday night, including the game-winner, so the A's have to hope that heroics will help the veteran shortstop break out of his season-long funk.
