Rejoice Giants and A's fans -- the 2019 MLB Draft is finally here. With both teams enjoying off days on Monday, fanbases can focus on the future.
The Giants will be on the clock first as they own the No. 10 pick in the draft. The last time they were in the same slot, San Francisco selected pitchers Madison Bumgarner in 2007 and Tim Lincecum the year before. This time around, they need to make another big splash.
Several outlets have the Giants taking a college bat in the first round. And one option can be former local prep star Hunter Bishop, who hit 22 home runs for Arizona State University this year.

Nineteen picks later, the A's will be up at No. 29 overall. Plenty of people have mocked UNC-Wilmington shortstop Greg Jones or Missouri outfielder Kameron Misner to them. As long as they don't take a future Heisman-winning quarterback, they should be just fine.

Day 1 of the draft consists of 78 total picks between the first round, compensation picks, Competitive Balance Round A, the second round, Competitive Balance Round B, and another round of compensation picks.
