Matt Olson is a Gold Glove first baseman, but the A's slugger sure likes hitting dingers, too.

You can't blame him for at least trying. And even though it probably won't happen -- it won't -- the A's can at least find the humor in Olson's wish.
Olson has a natural, long and powerful left-handed swing. As you can see, he can go yard to all fields, but he certainly enjoys spinning on it.

This past season, Olson pulled the ball 42 percent of the time, according to FanGraphs, and that actually was down 7 percent from his 59 games in 2017. The Coliseum isn't an easy poke in right-center field at 388 feet while right field is 330 feet.

Right now, the plan is for the A's new ballpark to open in 2023. Olson will be 29 years old by then with a lot more home runs to his name. If he gets his wish, his Baseball Reference page will be a whole lot of fun to refresh.
