He is currently rehabbing, and is expected to hold a showcase for teams sometime in January.

Is there a chance he returns to the Giants in 2016?
[REWIND: Lincecum speaks on his rehab, this Giants team, and his future]
"It's all gonna hedge on what he looks like when he throws," Giants broadcaster Mike Krukow said on KNBR 680 on Friday morning. "That last couple years, he hasn't been the same pitcher ... he had some pretty substantial surgeries in the offseason, with some labrum tears in his hips.
"I think it's the hope that when he goes out and auditions, and puts on a display for every scout in the game -- everybody is gonna be sitting there with speed guns to see what his velocity is, and they are gonna see what his command is -- and if his velocity is back up there in the low 90s, and he's got command in the lower part of the strike zone, he's gonna have some job offers.

"And it wouldn't surprise me at all if one of those offers came from the Giants."
As of today, the Giants' projected starting rotation is Madison Bumgarner, Johnny Cueto, Jeff Samardzija, Jake Peavy and Matt Cain.
Chris Heston, who made 31 starts last year, may open the season as the team's long reliever. Perhaps he is slated to begin 2016 in Triple-A.
If Lincecum turns heads at his showcase, he could theoretically be back for his 10th season in orange and black.

"I don't think any of us wants to see Lincecum in another uniform," Krukow said. "I just don't think that we do. What he's meant to this franchise, to this city -- it's unbelievable. He's been the poster child of this resurgence of the Giants in this wonderful last six years.
"But yet, it's a business and you have to prove yourself. And he knows that. And I think he's worked very hard, and I'm hoping that when he does his little showcase, he's got his velocity back, he's got his command back and everybody can sit there and go, 'You know what, Lincecum is back.'
"I hope that happens, and if that indeed happens, I hope to see him in a Giants uniform in the spring."
Would Lincecum accept a bullpen-specific role?
"He's already proven he can do any role," Krukow explained. "I think he likes any role. He was the X-factor in 2012, when he came in there and was a guy who pitched middle innings ... if he's throwing strikes, there's no reason he can't come in and close. He can spot start. He can do anything.
"He's got one of the great arms I've ever seen, and he's never once put it in an ice bucket. He's elastic, he has a great resiliency with his arm.
"He could be a guy who is an X-factor on the staff where he could basically pitch every role for you -- including starting, including short relief."
The Giants drafted Lincecum 10th overall in 2006.
He won the Cy Young in 2008 and 2009.
