Yes, that's actor Jonah Hill playing A's executive "Peter Brand" in the movie, "Moneyball." In the scene, Hill's character and "Billy Beane," played by Brad Pitt, successfully negotiated a trade for pitcher Ricardo Rincon.

Criswell has previous ties to the A's. His dad, Brian -- also a pitcher -- was drafted by Oakland in the 17th round of the 1984 draft, but never reached the majors.

The A's have options with the younger Criswell. He spent time as a starter and as a reliever during his time at Michigan.
”He has a strong fastball that tops out at 97 mph," A's scouting director Eric Kubota told reporters after the draft. "He has a very good breaking ball. He has some delivery issues that we feel can be worked out, but he has been a successful starting pitcher at a very good college program, so there’s a chance we think he could start. Once again, he’s physical and has really good stuff.”
