Holliday scratched from Cardinals' lineup with back issue

Cardinals slugger Matt Holliday has been scratched from the starting lineup for Game 6 with back tightness, forcing Mike Matheny to make some last-minute changes.

Holliday, who was set to bat third and play left field, will now watch Allen Craig move from first base to left to cover his position, Carlos Beltran move from second to third in the batting order, and Matt Carpenter bat second and take over at first base.

Holliday is batting .190 in the NLCS against the Giants and was the center of a controversy when he slid late into Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro in Game 2 while trying to break up a double play.
