Giants closer Brian Wilson's latest foray into the world of professional golf was cut short Tuesday when he withdrew from participating in the pro-am portion of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Classic in Orlando, Fla. The PGA Tour did not make a formal announcement, but multiple sources close to Wilson suggested to CSNBayArea.com that his decision not to play in the pro-am, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, was based on a scheduling conflict.
Last February, as part of his post-World Series tour de force, Wilson served as friend and PGA pro Pat Perez's caddy in the Waste Management Open in Scottsdale, Ariz., two weeks before the start of spring training.
