The Giants and reliever Sergio Romo agreed on a one-year deal Friday, according to a message from the team.
Romo compiled a 3-1 record and a 1.50 ERA in 48 innings last season, appearing in 65 games. He was bothered by right elbow inflammation and landed on the DL in August but finished the year with 70 strikeouts and just five walks.
Romo reportedly requested 1.75 million and was offered 1.3 million from the Giants when arbitration figures were exchanged earlier this week. According to CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman, Romo settled for 1.575 million.

It has been a busy week for the Giants. Earlier the team signed third baseman Pablo Sandoval to a three-year, 17.15 million contract. Moments after the Romo deal became official, Sandoval posted the following message on his Twitter account @KFP48:
Congrats to @SergioRomo54 for signing his contract extension with the Giants .Now lets hope his Bobbleheads are better than mine .Yeah Right
Also, the Giants signed one-year deals with outfielders Angel Pagan and Melky Cabrera Pagan's deal was reportedly for 4.85 million, Cabrera's for 6million.
