Giants prospect C.J. Hinojosa has been suspended 50 games for a second positive test for a drug of abuse, the league announced on Friday.
The Giants drafted the shortstop in the 11th round of the 2015 MLB Draft. This past season, Hinojosa hit .256 with four home runs at Double-A Richmond. In three years in the minors, Hinojosa has slashed .275/.335/.390 with 18 homers.

Hinojosa is ranked as the Giants' No. 17 prospect by MLB Pipeline and Baseball America ranked him as the team's No. 30 prospect after the 2017 season.
