Before the Giants take on the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Friday, they made a roster move.
Center fielder Steven Duggar was placed on the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain, retroactive to June 19.
To replace Duggar on the active roster, the Giants recalled 29-year-old outfielder Alex Dickerson from Triple-A Sacramento.

The Giants acquired Dickerson from the Padres on June 10 for pitcher Franklin Van Gurp. In six games with the River Cats, Dickerson slashed .176/.300/.176 and drove in one run.
In 107 career games with the Padres, Dickerson is a career .250 hitter with 10 homers and 39 RBI.
In 67 games this season, Duggar is slashing .234/.277/.343 with four home runs and 28 RBI.

With Duggar out, expect Kevin Pillar to see a majority of the time in center field. Rookie Mike Yastrzemski has been playing well in the corner outfield spots.
