Major League Baseball has been looking at multiple ways to change its game, most notably with the pace of play.
Commissioner Rob Manfred is considering a 20-second pitch clock throughout baseball, which has already been used in the minor leagues this season. Giants right fielder Hunter Pence for one, is not a fan of the idea.
"I'm not so happy about all the clocks," Pence said to ESPN's Eddie Matz, when asked what's one rule he would change.

Pence feels baseball is fine the way it is being played now and doesn't understand all the proposed rule changes. "I think it's pretty good the way it is. I like the way they have it. I don't want them to change the strike zone. I think they should keep the strike zone the way it is," Pence expressed.
With the idea of pitch clocks, Pence turned to the mental side of baseball. For him, a big beauty of the game is the process just as much as the results.
"It's weird. They want to speed up the game, but then they want more offense. A lot of the drama is in the time in between, the thinking and the process and the chess match. So there's a lot of that buildup that, if you're rushing the game, you don't get the magnificence.
"I understand the time in between innings, but between pitches and stuff, there's a lot of process, especially in big moments. There's something special about the time in between," Pence said.
