The Giants haven't made any exceptional moves during the offseason ... yet. But that doesn't mean they don't possess players to talk about, especially in its farm system.
Joey Bart and Heliot Ramos are getting plenty of attention ever since MLB Pipeline released its list of Top 100 Prospects: Bart was ranked No. 22, Ramos No. 92.
Bart is the Giants' highest-rated prospect since none other than Buster Posey.

That's good, right?
MLB Pipeline's own Jonathan Mayo provided insight on what makes Bart so special and when we should expect to see him in the Majors.
"He's our top catching prospect for a reason, as he's the best all-around player at the position in any system," Mayo told NBC Sports Bay Area. "He has the chance to hit for average and plenty of power, with the potential to hit 25 homers annually. And he improved his defense tremendously at Georgia Tech."
The Giants' 2018 first-round draft pick (No. 2 overall) sticks out in other ways as well.
San Francisco Giants
"An added bonus is that he called his own game in college, which is rare, and is the thing that often slows down catching prospects."
"I could see him in San Francisco by late 2020, maybe the start of 2021 to be conservative."
For the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (Class-A short season), Bart posted a .333 average with nine long balls and 24 RBI in his first stint as a professional last year.
As far as Ramos is concerned, he has a long quest ahead of him, but that's to be expected. The center fielder, despite his power, is very young and Mayo wants us all to be patient when it comes to him.
"Heliot Ramos has a ton of tools; it's just a question of him putting them all together consistently," Mayo said. "He obviously had a huge pro debut after being drafted, then struggled with consistency in 2018 during his first taste of full-season ball. He needs to refine his approach at the plate to become a more complete hitter, but the raw power is there to tap into. We'll see if he sticks in center field, but if it clicks he'll fit the athletic right field profile extremely well. Be patient -- he'll be only 19 for the entire 2019 season."
Last season with the Augusta GreenJackets, the Class-A affiliate of the Giants, Ramos posted a .245/.313./396 line with 11 home runs and 119 hits.

Giants president of baseball operations Farhan Zaidi said during the Winter Meetings the two will start with the San Jose Giants, the organization's Class A Advanced-affiliate. This doesn't mean they won't zip through the ranks, especially Bart -- but the organization will be flexible depending on needs as the season goes on.
But for now, we at least have a set pace for when to anticipate them in a big league uniform.
